Pesetas into Euros

Oct 11, 2004 5 Replies

I just found 10,000 Pesetas in a drawer at home. At the agreed exchange rate i believe that they are worth ?60.

Where can i go to in London to swap the currencies over?

Many thanks

Try the place where you agreed the exchange rate with?

i used the exchange rate "agreed" from the European Central Bank when Pesetas were replaced with Euros.

Any ideas?

Try a spanish bank

them to provide this service. LloydsTSB will send them for collection for a fee of 10 + 2% of sterling value but will only pay what they can get for them and not the fixed rate when the peseta joined the Euro.My calculation would make your note nearer to 40 than 60 before any charges. Eric

or a coin and note collector/dealer.
