Quickest way to sell UK shares

I am an Australian (and living in Australia) and I have some UK shares that I want to sell. They are registered with Computershare in the UK.



Does anyone know a quick way to sell these shares?


I know that Etrade here in Australia has a facility that lets you sell without opening an account with them, you just give them the Shareholder Ref # plus some other details, they sell the shares then send you a cheque.


Does anyone know if any UK brokers have a similar facility or any other alternatives?

Pretty much all UK brokers will be able to sell them for you over the phone. I think the common thing is that you have to make sure the certifiates get to them within 2 days or similar.
