Apologies if this has been discussed, ive been away for a few weeks and came home to find an email from my on line broker about this. On checking my portfolio i have my original 2000 RBS shares listed but also

1222 something elses which are apparently tradeable. I do not wish to put my hand in my pocket so what are my options? can i just sell these
1222 other items? i think on last checking they were just under 50p each..

Yes, you can sell the rights you don't want.

Thanks for the info,,they are currently at 37p last checked. If i do nothing will they be sold on my behalf after the closing date? If i dont sell them myself what will happen?

It'll tell you that if you bother to read the literature that you've been sent. Normally yes, they'll be sold.

You'll receive a cheque in the post
