One thing to bear in mind is that most financial institutions in the UK (certainly banks) have to register with the Financial Services Authority, and they have a register to check firms with at

. Unsurprisingly, it's not on there ! Why don't you try something like Royal Bank of Scotland or Halifax Bank of Scotland instead.

The menu option "Barrowing Solutions" on their website seems to be fairly conclusive. :)

Well, as mentioned, it's a business partner that would like to open an account there - because some person wants to send her some of his money onto her account for some not-so-clear reasons.

Actually, we have first class international banks here in Switzerland...
