Although I have Halifax current and credit card accounts, all my credits and liabilities are now with Santander, in my Santander current and credit card accounts.
I was wanting to take £300 cash out of my Santander credit card account. This would *not* take things over my credit limit.
I've managed to mislay my pin, so I cannot take the £300 from the automatic teller, instead, I have to get the money over the counter.
I don't have a passport or a driving licence. I had a phone bill and some other document with me. I also had a Halifax debit card and was told to come back with statement associated with that card. This was for authorisation purposes, because I have no passport or driving licence.
In the end, after the girl in the bank phoned someone up, (Mastercard probabably), the providing of the Halifax Debit card and a statement was not sufficient. The statement was for January, but I don't think that would have been the problem.
The people in the bank know who I am, I'm not a stranger to the bank.
The Santander card is Mastercard one.
Should I have been able to obtain the £300 from my branch?
Is there anything that the bank could have told Mastercard that might have made a difference? I went into my branch bank. I opened all my accounts there - the bank know who I am.
I have a foreign surnamename - born and bred in UK.
