The Alliance & Leicester have just given me some interest on my account, putting it over the account threshold. will I still earn interest on the extra money above the account threshold? It still appears in the same account so I presume it does.

If you are talking about the online saver account then interest added onto the account taking it over the limit is perectly safe. The
*total* in the account will earn interest at the current rate. You just cannot deposit any more cash into the account.If it is not the online saver account then phone them and ask, like I did about the online saver.!
