Student Debt

Does anyone have any information on how a student can get out of debt quickly and easily?

I think the usual way is called work.

Buy a lottery ticket. Rob a bank. Die.

Failing that, I'm with Mr Wells - it may not be quick or easy, but the usual method is indeed called work.

Take great care. The Lottery Ticket only works once in 14 million times, unless the student gets even more in debt to buy millions of tickets. Robbing a bank will probably get you out of the family house and away from Mum's controlling influence, but not to a place where you can shack up with the girl(boy)friend. Dying is initially attractive as far as the rest of society is concerned, but really we would prefer you to get a job and pay it back.

P.S. In fact students these days have my sincere sympathy. I benefited from a free education in days where the competition for places at University meant only 5% could go. In fact we all took a pay cut to go, as we could not get into the labour market for three years. My mates from school who were apprentices, or hod carriers had real money, while I just had to write essays and grow long hair. Mind you we didn't have to pay Vodaphone... Now even pretty nurses will need a degree - what is the country coming to. (Oh yes, a General Election!)
