Tessa maturity certificate - must invest same money ?

Probably a daft question but does the Tessa maturity certificate just mean that I can invest the stated amount in a follow-on tessa/TOISA etc within 6 months ?

Does it have to be the same notional funds ? ie: can I take whats in the matured Tessa now but still have the ability to invest in the TOISA later albeit with 'different' money. I could do with the funds short term but still want to retain the Tessa.

Hope this makes sense.

Cheers

Yes .. the £50 notes you receive from cashing the Tessa are in no way special when it comes to re-investing in a TOISA ... any-old £50 notes will do just as well.
