It has to be Robert Peston of the BBC, I know economics is described as the dismal science, but does he have to be so pessimistic with his whining, too depressing for words. However there is a Russian sage called Roubini,with a face that makes Private Fraser's the undertaker out of Dad's Army look cheerful.And a voice of deepest gloom as he predicts the end of the world, must be a close second.


Pah. Amateurs. Those of us who've been at it longer can maintain a good cheer while predicting financial Armageddon.

There's also real pessimists like Bob Beckman, Robert Prechter, Doug Noland and Satayit Das who was doing a Roubini before Roubini was - here's one of his:
