My endowment company - Standard Life say I need to contact :-
williams and glyn's
ref a mis sold endowment policy. This is the only details they have on file. I have tried google and yell to no avail. Asking here just in case the name rings a bell with anyone

What sort of company were they - IFA, Mortgage Broker, etc ?

They may have ceased trading, or the name may be a trading name for another limited company.
I looked at companies house webcheck facility at
Rgds SS.
IIRC they are/were a bank. In fact you'll find them on Google. Try "williams and glyn bank".
