Does anyone have any experience of opening and operating a Turkish Bank account? I am thinking of doing so to ease spending and saving in the country; however, I will not own a property there. Are there any pitfalls? Does the Turkish banking system work anything like ours? Do you pay tax on any savings or interest? If you do pay tax, does that then exempt you from paying UK tax?
Any help much appreciated.
