We are paying far more for our gas than those in Europe? Answer because the European market is not competive like ours is!!!! What a load of garbage, if our market was more competive we would have lower prices not higher, if their market was "uncompetive" why do they have much lower prices? No the simple answer is that we have private gas companys colluding to force up prices in the UK, why should they buy in cheaper gas when they can push up prices instead. Gas prices in the UK have gone up about 50% whilst the UK gas companies have doubled their profits, it is *clear* where the uncompetive market is, it is here in the UK. They have no incentive to buy the cheaper gas, they would rather jack up their profits? And what has the industry regulator been doing? Playing golf and wineing and dining with the gas company bosses no doubt. Proof if you ever needed it thatthe privatisation of power has pushed prices up. So don't we benefit from the cheap gas available in Europe? Answer because our private gas companies don't want to buy it, they don't need to, they can just keep whacking up the prices, it's no skin of their noses.

Try emailing it. It does not exist. I presume they removed it to stop spammers!

It was mentioned on Moneybox tSaturday lunchtime, and it was pointed out that we have been paying less than several EU countries. Maybe there is a Listen-Again on the BBC Radio 4 website?
