I know that this has been mentioned here before, but I just received their wonderful offer today - 46.3% on purchases plus £19 annual fee.
I've taken great pleasure in stuffing the whole lot into the return envelope with a covering note asking if they've perhaps got the decimal point in the wrong place.
Apparently they are part of the Provident Financial group. Several years ago, before I knew the background of these loan sharks, I applied for a job with them. Their main line of questioning at the interview was; "If you were collecting repayments from a customer and they suddenly came at you with a carving knife etc, how would you react?"
Now I understand why this was such a likely scenario.....
