VCT and EIS

Would anyone like to post their experiences of either VCT or EIS based investments.

Kind Regards, Shane Cook.

You are talking about wrappers not investments. Its a bit like going into a green grocers and asking for his opinion on a punnet and a brown paper bag. What you should be asking about is what goes inside, i.e. strawberries or apples etc.,. My own personal view is that you NEVER invest in anything just because it is in a tax wrapper, you must really want the contents irrespective of the tax situation .

there are a few exceptions mind you, and the tax reliefs on VCTs etc., can enable you to tolerate more investment risk than with other wrappers.

So how does one invest in an EIS or VCT wrapper scheme? Is there a list of companies seeking financing out there somewhere?

I dont know of a formal list, but that doesnt mean there isnt one. An IFA or stockbroker who specialises in this field should know who is currently looking for new capital and if there is a VCT or EIS that is likely to be investing in them.
