I carried mine to the car, drove to public amenity site, plonked it in the skip. It took my daughter and I to lift/carry it.

Because of phonaholics who want the latest gadget on them - it suits me, it makes the 2nd last version very cheap or even free. I just wish the same would happen with cars.

Mine was free on freecycle, there are hundreds of them. Everybody wants them flat.
I would find out by gossip. Or by a police warning. The golf clubs one, the police came and told everyone in the street.
Maybe the car wasn't good enough and they returned it under the 7 day rule.

We don't get Police warnings. Even when there were a crime wave (caused by a single individual) we found out nothing until our car got nicked.
AFAIK they nick several cars in a group and leave them scattered over the countryside, some on fire, some not. Mine was found on a country lane a few miles away. It was damaged but just about drivable and still had fuel in it. The Police called me and expected me to deal with it.

Yes. You know what women are like.
They are more helpful round here. They even let you off with speeding if you're polite.
They got the £0 back that it cost them.
