which stockbroker

I'm thinking of opening an account with one of the online brokers. I'd like to trade EU, UK and US shares. Was thinking of IMIWEB, Comdirect of SharePeople... Can any of you guys recommend one of the above

Imiweb are very good. Although their customer service has gone downhill lately, not replying to emails.

I use Comdirect to deal US and UK shares and find them very good, with them charging the same flat rate (12.50/deal)for UK deals and EU/US ones - whether carried out on telephone or online.

In addition, if you are referred by an existing customer you both get 50 (so if you would like me to refer you just drop me an email:))

Comdirect also have a board on the Motley Fool at

which they actively monitor and provide feedback on which is nice.. Regards Sunil

It's a FAQ; search the uk.finance archive -

Sunil, I'm a comdirect customer but I can't find any mention of this £50 for introductions offer on their website. Can you post the URL? My parents were planning on opening an account and £50 each seems a good deal! Thanks. Richard

hehe.. I could always refer your parents for you :)

No? - oh well...

If you login to Comdirect you automatically start at the "Full Summary" page

Just above the number of "unread messages" (halfway down the page) you will see a graphic/banner re: the scheme.. which you just click etc.

If you still can't find it, I'd be happy to refer your parents :P

Regards Sunil
