Barclays'/Woolwich Open Plan interest rate is lower though........4.6% vs
4.95%Hence suggest you bin paperwork and view Barclays website!

with a non-too biased view!!
Isnt it called the 'One' account now? I though Virgin sold it? Anyway, when I looked about 18 months ago it was really good but you could get a similar deal at Barclays, IF, and several others, for about 1/2 to 1% cheaper (not as a special deal for the first year or so, all the time), maybe the rates have equalised now, I've just had a look and Barclays is 4.8% while One is
4.95%. However since all these companies seem to calculate their APRs in a different way you probably need to look at what the repayments would be per month to work out which is the cheaper in reality.FWIW I have many friends who have Barclays, Woolwich, IF and 'Virgin' One accounts, and we all think its the best thing since sliced bread. p.s Woolwich are retards dont go to them get the exact same product from Barclays.
Yes and yes.
The One Account actually has seven tiers of interest rate varying between
4.85% (
Seems it is still 1/2 to 1% more expensive then.

... yet FirstDirect offsetmortgage must then beat both - its rate is 4.75% !
Or you could go to the Winner of the "Best Offset Mortgage 2003" by Mortgage Magazine and use Yorkshire Building Society at 4.50%
I believe the only way to compare properly is just to look at what the repayments would be for a same-size mortgage.
It's a FAQ; search the uk.finance archive -
