Do any of you think the USD will progresively (or suddenly) fall against the pound, in the coming months and years, and stay that way for a prolonged period? If so, please estimate some timescales.

Against the pound? No. Much more likely to be the other way round.
Pound will likely fall against US dollar until around about the next UK general election.
