Perfect Accountant

There are many different types of accounting software out there, but the price varies wildly... I saw Perfect Accountant Platinum for $9.99 and checked it out... It has inventory, general ledger, sales reports, payroll, pos, etc... Is it comparable to quickbooks 2007 ? or peachtree accounting? Why with some accounting software do you have to update every year to a new version of the program? Do I want to pay $175 a year for a new quickbooks pro? Has perfect accountant been removed from the market? any help would be appreciated...

You don't have to update accounting software annually. Tax software, including payroll and income tax preparation needs to be updated due to changes in tax tables, forms changes and the like.

That depends, does QB have functions that you'll use that the other software does not, and are those functions valuable to you.
