question

I didn't know where to post so I'll post here. When Steve Jobs told the graduating audience at Stanford, he said " be hungry, be foolish". What does that mean?

Back in the day.............when you had to hunt for your food, the hungrier you got the more you hunted, or...........you learned to hunt better.

Be foolish means to take risks. How often have you seen someone doing something risky and said "That fool!!"

If you're hungry for business, what will you do?

FWIW: Don't go off the deep end and end up the object of a grand jury investigation, or be spotlighted on 20/20.

There's a good book that you should read, if you haven't yet, called "Where's My Cheese?" and another similar one called "Who Moved My Cheese?" or some variation like that. Find it and read it. It's probably along the same lines he's referring to.

"be hungry"... want it BAD.

"be foolish"... be willing to take risks.
