simply accounting data lost in system restore

i did a system restore under xp pro of a system of a customer of mine because of a bad video driver and now the simply accounting data that had been entered since the rester point has been lost. presumably simply
accounting stores some info in the registry as well as in the data file. is there a way to recover this data? thanks.

Your customer should be backing up regularly.

yeah - unfortunately before this was discovered another restore point was created. i thought system restore wasn't supposed to lose data. maybe there's a problem with the way simply accounting is written. you're right that my customer should have a regular backup. thanks for the reply.

Hi Gary,
As far as I can tell Simply Accounting stores it's data in .sdb file's which are not monitored by System Restore. Have the user do a search on *.sdb to locate the missing files.
