A major international agribusiness corporation is current seeking a Tax Planning Manager to join its team in Wilmington, DE
Role Purpose/Accountabilities - NAFTA Tax Lead in the financial and tax evaluation of potential acquisition targets, with particular emphasis on Global Tax structuring and thin capitalization (163J), Global Transfer Pricing policies, Cross border tax planning, U.S. international tax planning and Treaty analysis. Work with outside advisors as necessary.
Also:
*Assist Director in monitoring and managing the tax structuring and modeling for internal financing activities and other cross-border planning.*Guides cross-functional teams to develop, assess, and implement international and domestic tax planning projects.
*Assist Head of NAFTA Tax with special tax projects.*Assist with U.S. Federal and State, Canadian and Mexican tax audits
*Assist with Federal and State tax compliance and tax reporting to HQ, as needed.Knowledge Skills & Experience - Critical Knowledge: In-depth technical knowledge of federal/state corporate income taxes. Candidate must have a thorough understanding of international taxes and transfer pricing. Basic understanding of the seeds and crop protection industry preferred.
Critical Skills: Prior experience US Inbound tax planning. Strong communication skills and strong time management skills. Proficiency with various computer applications, including MS-Excel and MS-Word. Proficiency with specialized tax application software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Critical Experience: This position requires 5 to 8+ years experience in International, Federal and State Corporate Tax Planning, or similar experience. Bachelor of Science in Accounting or related field. Certified Public Accountant. Master's in Tax, JD or MBA preferred.
