Is it possible to import a general journal entry from excel into peachtree?

It is possible. The best way to do this is to go to File>>Import/Export and export a few transactions so that you can see the exact format. You do need to pay attention to transaction and financial period numbers. Then format your excel file and save it to a csv file. Move your file to c:\ (root) so that the file name inc path is as short as possible.
