After the Template?

Okay, I have...or I should say my brother has succesfully tweeked the receipt to look the way we want. My question is I can't have RMS print the standard Receipt, and switch to the "updated" version by clicking a Macro key. Either I have one or the other, but I can not have both...is there any way to set it up to be able and access both receipt formats? I doubt it, but thought I might ask anyhow! Thank You,; Vince

In your registers configure two printers [though they are physically the same printer] and have one template linked to one and the other the the 2nd printer. You can make make both printer to be print on demand. So you will be prompted to print on printer 1 and Printer2. Select the one you want.

Vince,

SO Manager | File | Configuration | Options tab | POS options | check the Share the OPOS printer with other apps box.

If in POS, exit and then go back in for the changes to take effect.

Jeff...I did what you suggested, and that worked, except I get the same receipt format for either Printer 1 or Printer 2...I checked the templates, and they are both different...when I allow for both...I get only 1 receipt format (The new one)...when I disable the new, and set up only one printer it obviously defaults to the original. How can I get both formats to print? Under SO Manager when you get to Recept Printer 1 & 2 I have the same things for everything except the very last where it says receipt format one is set to the default 40 Column, and the other is labeled and set to the new...anyone?

Vince,

Are they both set to Journal receipts? If so, are both receipts showing up in the Journal?

Jeff, Thank you for the response...yes I would think that both of the receipts are showing up in the journal, as we only changed the 40 Column receipt template, and resaved it...and of that we only changed Sales. Then we re-named the reciept, and tried using it as receipt 2. When selecting a receipt type, it makes no difference receipt 2 prints either way. When receipt 2 is disabled, then the default receipt prints. I am assuming we have done something wrong, but am not so sure as to what exactly?
