Can Customer Purchase History include Tax?

Aug 25, 2005 3 Replies

Is there any way to have this field (Customer Properties > Purchase History) reflect the total spend (including tax) for a customer?? We're using this to give them a discount when they spend over $100, but of course that should logically include tax, whereas the data in their purchase history right now only displays sales totals w/out tax...can this be changed to include tax in the total?

Thanks for your opinion, however I wasn't seeking advice on retail business rules or sales policy, merely inquiring if the functionality could be changed or not...

You can't really change the behavior of any of the forms built into RMS. It's possible to create replacement forms for any of them, but the cost is usually more than the function is really worth - unless there's an existing add-in that handles it of course. I think that you can get the information you are looking for in this case from a detailed sales report either grouped by customer account number or using the account number as a filter - the report may need to be modified, but that is much easier to do than replacing forms.
