hey everyone, do we need to shutdown our all our POS at night or just the one with the dongle in it. OR we do not need to shut down any POS.

You should exit out of all programs at night. Your reseller may have setup programs (anti-virus scans, spyware scans, harddrive defragmenters, XP updates, etc.) that run in the middle of the night and by leaving any programs open, they may not be able to run.
Same goes for powering off the machines at night. We suggest leaving them on for the above reasons. Turn off the monitors and printers though.
I disagree with the notion of turning off hardware. Most hardware failures occur on power up or down due to thermal shock. (Have you ever seen a lightbulb blow when it's on? I have, but only once. They almost always blow at the instance you turn them on. It's the same with computer equipment.)
The point about jobs running overnight is well taken, however.
