Commissions

Hello,

Do commissions get tracked by Cashier, or just Sales Rep? I have set up commissions for a few items, had a sale, and do not see the commission being tracked. My cashiers are my sales reps, and vice versa. It seems redundant to have to put my employees in as Cashiers and Sales Reps.

Am I missing something?

Greg, Commissions are tracked by Sales Rep. While this does seem reduntant at face value, it is actually a great idea to have them split. These are a few examples:

- returns (it is not fair that a cashier should have to take a return and a 'hit' on a sale they did not make)

- allows for multiple reps on 1 sale

- allows for customer tagging (adding sales rep to the customer card)

- allows for returns from other locations (have a 'no rep')

But, as everything, you will still have to audit.

No problem. I remember thinking how redundant they seemed too.
