When a detailed sales report is run, the cost column only gives the price of a single item. Can someone tell me how to get a total cost column. My sales figure is always off because of the cost column.

Normally, we just export these reports into Excel and do the rest on the spreadsheet.

Depending on your version of RMS( esp 1.3 and earlier) the pre packaged Detailed sales report was not calculating costs or profit margins correctly. There was an updated report available on customer source.
Search this newsgroup for " Cost error" or "Cost report error" or "Profit margin error" for posts that contain the details.
