Custom Button Report

I made a custom button that is for an item which is a membership to our rewards program. The button is used for renewals so I made it change the description to add the word 'renewal' to it. The receipt that prints out has this custom description, but it's not posted to the journal like this. Is that custom description recorded anywhere?

I'm adding an item, but changing the description so it says renewal... This is what I have for the custom button. PerformAddItem 262161, 461119007067, 1, 0, 0, 1, Membership Renewal The UPC been sold triggers some events so I can't create another UPC, so I changed the description when a customer renews.

Thanks for the resp> ScottM,

Thanks for the helpful response.

This is a good alternative, although I think I'm going to have to make it a macro to automatically sell the item and add the comment, to make our cashiers lives easier, they already have to remember so much!

Just to be sure...with the item comments, I should be able to do a report for sales that contain that item comment...correct?

Thank you.

"c> Hi Scott - I had a similar issue recently, where I needed to capture what is
