Custom Inventory Report?

Does anyone know of a report out there that will tell me item, description, # on-hand, quantity sold, and vendor for a specified date range? I've seen the item movement reports but it doesn't tell me the current quantity on-hand... any ideas? Thanks!

Pet,

Find one attached. Copy it into your Program Files\Microsoft Retail...\Store Ops\Reports folder. Look for it in SO Manager | Reports | Custom

You must be using Outlook Express or some other type of newsgroup reader to see and download the file attachment. If you are not using a reader, follow the link below to setup Outlook Express. Click on "Open with newsreader" under the M$ Retail Management System on the right.

I would like to access this same report file. When I try to bring this post up in Outlook Express, I can only bring up posts through the last three months. Could you please repost the attachment?

I need a report that shows summarized data for item, description, quantity sold for a specific date range, current amt on hand and - most importantly - includes any items that have NOT sold with their current amt on hand. I have looked through all the reports and can't seem to get any to include the not sold items, even though there is an option to select "Qty Sold Less than or to Zero". This option just doesn't work as far as I can tell.

Thanks > Pet,

Jami,

I think this is the report you are looking for. You didn't copy enough of the original message for me to tell.

Also this has been tweaked a little since the last version.

To see items without sales with inventory, delete the dates and add a Qty Sold = 0 AND Qty on Hand > 0

Hi Jeff, Thanks for your help with this. This report looks like it should work, but it doesn't. Here's what I'm trying to get:

Date range: ie. 01/01/05 - 12/31/05 Total sales for all item for this date range Current on hand qty of these items that had sales Current on hand qty of all other items that had zero sales but have an on hand > 0.

The problem with this report is that when I set it with these variables it disregards the date range and overstates the quantity sold to include each items total sales since the beginning of the database. I guess I can get around it by running two separate reports and sorting them together in excel, but it would be nice to have a single report if possible.

Thanks, Jami

Jami,

If I understand what you want, it has to be on 2 reports.

You can't ask for a report that lists all items with sales (your line 2 or 3 request), that _didn't_ have any sales at the same timeframe (line 4 request) on the same report. ;-)

Jeff,

I was looking in the newsgroup and ran across this old post that no longer contains the attachment. I think it is exactly what I am looking for and would be very grateful if you could repost it.

Thanks JC

I too saw this old thread, and would like a copy of the report.

also more information on creating my own report. I have been using RMS for

2 weeks, and have no SQL knowledge.

Thanks Chris
