Customer Reporting help!

Im looking for a way to check my customer numbers in a multi store environment, I have every POS forced to ask the operator to select the customers name, and if they are not recognised then the operator selects a "walkin" customer account. The theory behind this is that i want to know my average spends of my "walkin" off the street, versus my recognised customers who are on the system.

i cant get any sort of summary report that i can see which will tell me this sort of thing, Is there anywhere i can get additional reports which may contain the report im looking for?

Phillip,

I suggest that you change that "walk-in" customer to multiple ones, like "walk-in 90210" assigning the customer's last name as a zip code and also enter the zip code for that customer. That way you would be able to track where your customers are coming from.

Then run the attached Zip Code Frequency report that will show what zip codes are buying and avg ticket. Collapse all groups to see just the totals.

Jeff, would you be kind enough to email me the "Zip Code Frequency Report", I am a partner and have never been able to utilize Outlook Express in any of these newsgroups. I hope this does not speak to my level of expertise with POS (35 years dating back to data collection through paper punch tape with NCR), I just cannot get Outlook Express to work for me and you have sent me the instructions before.

Thanks, in advance,

Thanks for the report - thats very neat!

I also need a report which can show me how many of times each customer visited the store within a set timescale, i cant get the standard HQ/Store reports to show me this, as the only date range i can filter with is the last visit, but I want to know how many visits they made within a time slot.

Thanks again

Thats brilliant Jeff - thanks for your help!

Can i ask where all these reports have come from? I would be very interested in seeing what other information i can extract from our db with custom reports!

Philip,

Some are downloaded from CustomerSource, some are modified standard reports, some are built from scratch, some are written by others and posted here or on other RMS related sites/newsgroups.
