Customising the TaskPad

Jason, there is a taskpad folder in your Store Ops folder, where you will find the taskpad.htm file, as well as the htm files for the item, inventory, journal, etc. links on the main taskpad page. you can make your modifications here if you have experience working with HTML. if you need help, i'm sure if you post the specifics on the changes you want to make, there is probably someone on this forum with the know-how to help you.

Thanks for your help, at least I know I am looking at the right files. I am specifically trying to add a link to a taskpad page which contains only some custom reports that are regularly used.

Jason, in your taskbar.htm file, in the section containing the table with the links to other windows, you need to add a HREF reference to indicate the link to another .htm file that you will save in your taskbar folder. this .htm file will then contain the links to open the custom reports you are talking about. i don't know how you would create a link to open a report....if you need any assistance in creating the link in the taskbar.htm file, check out this site:

which explains how to create a link in HTML. also after looking at that and learning how to do it, you should be able to find where the HREF references are in the taskbar.htm file, and copy one of them, then modify it to link to your other htm file. if you need additional help, post back
