Adding links to the manager taskpad

Jul 17, 2006 3 Replies

Hi,

Trying to find out if it is possible to add custom links to either the store or HQ manager taskpad, and if so how.

The HTML pages can quite easily be edited to add a href but then how to actually fire off an add-on?

For example the 'Items' screen in the Store manager taskpad has the HTML line

New Item

how is "createnewitem" used to fire off the Create New Item screen?

thanks dave

I would also love to know how the taskpad works in this respect. I was thinking of running the RMS Manager as a replacement for the normal windows shell (explorer.exe) like we do here with Store Operations POS. The only problem is that I can't get links to anything but html pages in the same folder as the taskpad.htm file to work. Does anyone else here have experience with this?

We will be implementing MSRMS in the spring and I have been hacking on the taskpad to create a custom menu system for my users for the last few weaks.

I though it was standard HTML, however I am running into problems; a simple javascript function to show and hide different tables using CSS display: none does not seem to work in the taskpad but works in all web browsers.

Hi. I would like to link directly to our most commonly used reports (including filters) from the taskpad. I can't figure out whre the link is set between the report url in the html file and that particular report opening?

eg. url="reportsalesdetailedsales" opens up the Sales - Detailed Sales Report (Tax-Inclusive).qrp file.

Any ideas?

Thanks and regards,

Mark.
