Destination Based Sales Tax

I am trying to find information about how to implement the Washington State Destination Based Sales tax system with RMS. Our partner has been of no help in telling us how we can have some sort of database that links with the Washington state database to determine the amount of sales tax we need to charge for items we mail out. I have been unable to find anything in the Knowledge Base or anywhere on the site. WA State updates their database quarterly. Any help in getting me pointed in the right direction would be appreciated.

Jen,

We have and add-on which recalculates taxes based on the shipping destination. It was originally designed to facilitate shipping to various states but I think it may be easily adapted to work with any other field in the customer profile (such as City for example).

Please call Retail Hero to discuss at 888-RTL-HERO, my direct extension 207. We are in the same time zone as you

Regards, Anthony

The unfortante thing about the washington based destination tax is that its based on your ZIP+4, Some zip codes can have up to 100 +4 to them, and since most people dont know there +4 you have to look them up according to there address, which complicates things further as say 180th st one side is Tax codeA and the other side is Tax CodeB.

According to verbal communication I had with MSFT they are supposed to be working on a fix for this before july when this tax thing starts.

Jen, Have you found a solution to the Washington State Destination based sales tax? I went to a state sponsored seminar that was of very little help.
