Hi I would like suggestions on how to implement a button for discounting.
Example
Let's say a customer buys 5 items. I want a button named "10% Off" that when clicked it discounts all 5 items by 10% automatically.
Can this be done and if so how?

It would be nice to be able to set a macro to do this process, but the macro recording pauses when you use Shift-F3 for the Discount screen.
To discount all items in a sale
If your store is configured to require reason codes, Store Operations will display the Select a customer discount reason code window, from which you can select the applicable reason code, and then press Enter.
Note: Whenever you discount/modify the item price > Hi
Or you could setup a "10% discount" customer and have a button on the right that sets the customer to this particular "customer" and essentially gives a
10% discount. This way you'll also be able to track how often this "customer/discount" is used. Of course the above assumes that you are not using customer information for each transaction already. You can create a Macro.
When the recording pauses after hitting Shift-F3, simply hit Shift-F3 again and it will start up again
