Error trying to Export Store in HQ Administrator

May 19, 2006 8 Replies

I have HQ 1.2 and 38 stores running SO. I have exported new stores many times before without problem. I created a few new stores and attempted to export today, and I am having a problem. I connect to the DB in HQ Admin, Choose Database, Export, select the store and the template DB as usual, create the new store DB copy the tables and click to Export (the last step of the process). It will begin the export process then then a dialog box appears that says: "Export Database Wizard - An error was encountered while exporting data. Your Store Operations database is not complete and may not work correctly. Error 0:" and there is only an "OK" button.

I have tried a full reboot on the HQ server, tried to create the new store DB on the same machine and other machines and I get the same result each time. Any ideas?

Thanks, Brandon

Jeff, Neither item solves my problem. I ran the selected query to see if NULL values existed for Tax, ReorderPoint and Restock for ItemDynamic table and no NULL values exist. The other item was suggesting that perhaps when SQL and/or RMS were installed, that the "Only for Me" option had been chosen. I am using the same server and workstation that I have successfully exported 38 other stores from and we don't use MSDE at HQ (Our DB is currently at 4.7GB and growing by several hundred MB each day)...

Any other ideas? I looked at the table structure for the new SO database that has been created by the process and all the tables and fields with> Brandon,

There are discrepancies in the schema between SO and HQ on other tables besides ItemDynamic and Item. Does the wizard display the name of the table it is exporting just before it fails?

Glenn Adams Tiber Creek C> Jeff,

Brandon,

Did you create a new, new store template or use an existing? If existing, try creating a new one.

Brandon,

From your posts, you really never finished creating it. You've set it up in HQ, but have never sync'ed it.

Brandon,

Glad you got it worked out.

There are some resellers with that and more stores running RMS. They will probably join in. Start a new thread asking.

Haven't done anything that large, but you might consider adding more HQ servers pointing to the HQ database. Xeons with lots o' RAM
