Store exported from HQ won't connect through Client

I am a new store location ready to open. We are using RMS HQ/SO 2.0.0108, have 35 HQ licenses and 33 current locations.

Using the same process used to define the earlier stores in HQ and export the databases (including the same Template), the last store created would not connect through the Client to HQ Server when I installed it on the store machine.

I have found the configuration table of the store's database is empty. Looking at the HQ database: There is an entry for the new store in the Store table. There is NOT a row for the new store in the Configuration table. The ItemDynamics table is populated with items for the new location.

I tried to delete the new store and recreate, but ended up with the same results.

Any ideas?

Thank you, Jim

Jim,

I am using v1.20187, but are you connecting through a firewall and/or third party DSL router? I have ran into this issue when the firewall or our DSL provider were blocking HQ Client from going out.

On all new store install, you need to down load items and sale tax work sheets to populate the database after you can syn it with HQ.

Jim,

On your Corporate Lan, you may have already check this. Can you ping the master register to RMS HQ Server? If not, you are not log on the Master register as a stand alone PC.

Jim,

One more thing to verify:

in Store Operation Admin\File\Configuration\Database

in HQ Client\File\Configuration\Database

Does both of these show the same database and no miss spelling of the same database? Does Both Test Database Connection pass?

in HQ Client\File\Configuration\HQ Server

Does Test Network Connection pass?
