Remotely press connect on HQ Client

Jul 17, 2008 7 Replies

I am trying to figure out a way that we could drop a worksheet and then press the connect button at a given store without actually having to remote desktop into that store server. I have designed a way to drop worksheets from a web interface but, it would be even better if I could then have the store connect.

Your help is greatly appreciated, Dan

Would you share a little on how you are creating worksheets from the web interface?

Just through SQL scripts directly to the worksheet and worksheetstore tables.

Basically I run some sales comparis> Would you share a little on how you are creating worksheets from the web > interface? >

Did you ever get a response to this? I really want to just connect every couple of hours, but I need a way from HQ to force HQ Client to initiate a connection. I do not want to use a remote access solution, and I do not want to interrupt the cashier.

I have a program that can execute a command on a remote computer, but I do not think there is an HQCLIENT.exe command line argument to connect immediately. In fact, if you try to run HQCLIENT.exe, the cashier will get a message that HQCLIENT is already running.

There must be a way to do this. I d> I am trying to figure out a way that we could drop a worksheet and then

Not at all. I'm pretty crafty, though. What software is required to create APIs?
