exporting database in rms

I need to know how to transfer the database from one machine to another in the same store. The version they have now is v1.3 possibly. The new store is going to have version 2.0. Would it be easier to upgrade his existing store to version 2 first then export the database. Can I please have a detail stop by step way of doing this task.

where can I get the details step by step to do that...this will be my first one and I dont want to screw it up.....

  1. Do a dB backup first on the older machine. You can use store ops/rms menu to do this. Else read the Help Online.
  2. Name the backup as something like 'backOLDdb' and put it to your USB
  3. Plug > And don?t forget to upgrade the database
