F7 - Set Customer - Find problem

I want to use FIND function to find customers by last or first name or other data that has been collected in Additional notes. When I click on F7 and then click on Find I then click on Find Now and customer names pop up. Finally, I either double click or choose the customer and click OK. But unfortunaty, it doesn't do anything. The screen simply goes back to the original Set Customer window without actually highliting the individual that I just selected. This seems like an error in the program.

This same process is slightly different when using F2-Lookup. In Lookup, if I do FIND and double click an item, the screen returns to the Lookup window but this time it highlights the specific item that I just found.

Any reason that finding and selecting a Customer is not going back to highlighting the customer I was seeking?

I am not certain why it is not working for you, I have tested it many different ways ( such as changing the column that is selected i.e. Account Number, Last Name, First Name, Company...) and it always highlights the correct name. I even tried searching data from different fields including the Notes field. What version of RMS are you using?

Rob, we use 1.2.0151

Every time I select something in Find, it simply doesn't go back to the previous window with the correct "found" customer highlighted...it's weird. Yet this same function works fine when finding items in F2-Lookup.

Zorian,

This was fixed about 15 updates ago.

You are 38 updates behind for version 1.2 (last version was 1.2.0189) and another 3 for version 1.3 (currently 1.3.0206)

Suggest you update..

Zorian,

It you are on the Annual Maintenance Plan, the 1.3 CD should have come in the mail back in Dec.

If you are not on the Maintenance Plan, you need to contact your reseller or MS to sign up. Here's a link to describe the plan;
