You can download a the Gift receipt form CustomerSource Reports Library. In order to access CustomerSource you would have had to have purchase Maintenance.

What you do is create a new receipt and call it Gift Receipt. SO Manager --> Database menu --> Register menu --> Receipts Formats. You then go to SO Manager --> Database menu --> Register menu --> Register List. From this window highlight the register and click on the Properties button. Go to the Receipt Printer 2 tab and use the following settings: Receipt Printing = Do not print receipts Printer Type = Same as the settings on your Receipt Printer 1 tab Options = Journal receipts from this printer and Receipt Format = Gift Receipt

Once that is done go to SO Manager --> Database menu --> Register menu --> Custom POS Button and create a new button using the following settings. Number = The next available number Style = Internal Command Caption = Gift Receipt Command = PrintLastReceipt

Restart the POS if it is currently running.

Now if the customer wants a gift receipt you can press the Gift Receipt button after the transaction is completed. Mind you if you forget to press the Gift Receipt button and perform another transaction it will print the last receipt in your Journal. Or if you need to print a gift receipt for an already completed transaction just F4 Journal and search for that transaction. Lastly, this will only work for any NEW transactions any of your old transactions will still not have a gift receipt in the Journal.
