How to print labels tags for all items "on sale"

Is there any way to print tags, labels for all items that are currently on sale ? I have a report that shows me itms that are on sale but i do not know of a way to print labels for all items without selecting them one by one. Any help would be helpful.

Robert, Sadly, there is nothing like this built into RMS. They have a Print All Labels With This Filter option, but Sale Start Date, Sale End Date, and Sale Price are all missing from this list. That was one of the major reasons that we developed our RITE Label program, which does this and a whole lot more.

If you are interested in learning more, please drop me an email or give me a call.

Thank you,

As far as I can see (I could be wrong!) you have to do an external program. If you need help let me know. I, or a qualified programmer, can do this for you.

You can print labels based on a number of item filters, but sale price is not one of them (or sale dates.) Also, be aware the default labels will print the current price; not the sale price. You do have the use of fields like "SubDescription 1" to filter to the items. So, for example, if you update SubDescription 1 on all sale items to "On Sale Now" you could then use the "Print labels for items that satisfy the following filter" option to print labels for those items.

Just be aware, you probably need to design your own label template if you want the sale price on it.

Thanks for the reply. I have redesigned label for on sale items, i also have a report that show me all items that are currently "On sale" It just seems like a very small a key feature is missing from the label wizard. There is a field call "Onsale" all that would need to be done is add this field to list of fields in label wizard filter. Any idea if this is possible without any extensive reprogramming. There are many fields there that have no use for printing labels at all, like tax, block sales, lower price boundary ,but the one that makes most sense is missing.

Your work around way will work but is time consuming. Do you know of a SQL script that can find item "on sale " and insert "on sale " in lets say bin location ? or other field ? I already use sub descriptions for other information.

Thanks
