Ithaca printer compatibility with RMS

Is the Ithaca Printer Series 150 compatible with RMS? I have a client who currently uses one today, and wants to be able to print info from RMS (we will be creating a customization for the info he wants-) Invoice # (transaction Number) Date Time Cashier ID Check # Amount This printer is not thermal- but it uses a ribbon.

Will the Ithaca printer work with RMS? Andrea

i wasn't able to get the 150 to work with their OPOS driver, but was able to get the iTherm 280 to work. At 2 sites where the client already had 150's, I used the Ithaca windows driver successfully. In the RMS receipt format I had to set the left margin at ".5". The drawer pops by default after the receipt prints, and being a dot matrix printer that prints slow, that wasn't acceptable - so in the Ithaca series 150 windows driver, Start/End Doc tab, put the 4 character pop code "&%D1" without the quotes in the StartDoc field.

Can you tell me how you set up the Ithaca Itherm 280. Did you use OPOS drivers?

I have only used Epson and I have a client who just bought the iTherm 280

Thanks for you assistance

If you're a reseller you should be asking other resellers for info in the partner or managed newsgroup. Ask over there. It's the only way I participate. I just stumbled on this and am not usually here.

Well, aren't we being snooty. Sounds like you think you're too good to help us mere peasants. That's OK though, we've been doing just fine without you. Craig

Not at all craig. Wendy referred to a response I gave in the managed newsgroup - not sure why she asked about it here. MS created newsgroups for resellers and that's where most of us post.

This is the spirit of closed-ness that is going to sink Microsoft in the long run. The whole idea of newsgroups is to share information with the world. Microsoft is making money on the "shared" comments of its resellers while disillusioning RMS end users. I don't see the point of having a seperate newsgroup for thier secret society.
