Jeff:

Thanks for the link to the roadmap, it's been a long time coming.

"Jeff @ Check Po> Daniel,

Maintenance, just go into CustomerSource, open a new support incident and ask for the latest version of RMS. Be sure to tell them which version you are running, Manager | Help | About

that have access to them are the people who pay for Maintenance. Why should you expect to get your hotfixes for free? If you feel that MBS should give you a free hotfix, take it up with them, don't go looking for a handout from the people who did pay for it.

If you buy your car you get a 1 year or 3 year warranty. But if a light bulb burns then you pay for it. When you buy RMS you get 1 year maintenance and upgrades. After that if you want to access fixes and upgrades it is only correct that this is paid. All other POS companis and ERP companies are the same and charge annual fees that vary from 14-25% of original purchase price per annum.

Afshin, Unless things have changes since I purchased RMS you don't GET 1 year of updates when you buy, you still have to purchase the maintenance plan in addition to the software. On the other hand, I am sure that the initial cost of the software would be much higher without the ongoing revenue generated by maintenance agreements.

Well currently you cannot buy RMS withthe 1st year Standard A not included. So you can say 1st year is built-in

Mission critical hotfixes for the version you pay for should be free to the license holder of the software, no matter how long it's been since you bought the system. Auto manufacturers give free fixes all the time using recalls, no matter how long you've owned your vehicle. Now updates are something different. You can't expect any company to give out free upgrades forever. If you want to always have the current version of the product, you should expect to pay for yearly contracts to have access to those upgrades. Craig
