Missing Link with FireEvent Commands?

I must be missing something simple with the use of Fire Event Commands and/or QSBridge.

  1. Can you use a Command Button to run multiple internal commands with parameters?

  1. Is it possible to access these Internal Commands from a COM component?

For example, how do I use SelectCustomer and then pass the selected ID to SetCustomer? I've read posts about recording macros and setting the button to call the macro but, in my example, recording a macro selects a particular customer.

Thanks in advance for any help with this.

  1. No. You can only trigger one command (no parameters).
  2. Yes. But I am not the guy to ask. I had a custom form created that prompts for user input prior to setting the rep/customer then passes that data along to the transaction.

Good luck, Tom

Thanks for the reply. I already have custom forms collecting data and setting Transaction properties like in your example. This uses the objects exposed by QSRules. What I can't do is call the FireEvent Commands from a COM component.

I would like to use the built in SelectCustomer dialog from a COM component but don't know how. If you call this command from a Custom Button, it does not set the Customer. It seems pointless to have parameters if you can't use them and hence my belief I'm missing something real simple.
