How many do you want to create?

For one at a time, find a similar item (or at least an item from the same supplier) and copy it.

For dozens or hundreds, either import or use a series of query statements.

For the import/query method, you really need to know what you are doing.

My Office Manager is getting tired of entering items through the many steps that she was shown. We sell Pet Supplies & Foods. She was looking for the most time efficent way to enter new products. We recieve new products on a daily basis.

THANKS for your attention to this matter

If you use the copy an item from the same supplier, department & ctgy your office manager will only have to change ILC, Description, Cost/Price, Reorder # & Reorder Cost, etc.

It's still not exactly quick, but it's better than clicking 'New' every time.

Have you noticed that when you "COPY" from another record your Born On or Date Created remains the same as the copied item. And you cannot change this in Manager. Doesn't seem to matter much at that pont in time but 5 years later it gets real confusing.

I noticed that as well. Something Microsoft over looked. Maybe another note to pass on to them.
