Offline Inventory

Is there any way to delete the items showing in the Offline Inventory?

When they first set up the RMS system in our business almost 2 years ago the person installing and training told the store managers to transfer items out by using the offline inventory feature. Now we have thousands of items and it takes anything from 5 to 15 minutes to open it. We now use the transfer out feature but all of the items still show in offline.

Hi Claudia,

I assume that 2 years ago, the items were put into offline inventory and then transferred out. After this, you deleted the sales transactions before going live.

When the delete sales transactions was executed, the transfer outs are also deleted in the system but not the items inside the offline inventory. Hence, the link between the items in the offline inventory and the transfer outs for the items were broken.... giving you so many listings in the offline inventory that you can neither transfer out or put back to main inventory.

You can delete those by logging into the database thru Store Administrator. Create a new query and type " delete from inventoryoffline". Press F5 or run this script...this will delete everything that you see in you offline inventory window.

I suggest you do this in a backup copy first as i'm not sure if my assumptions is exactly the same as your scenario.
