Over 6,000 Items and Counting?

I now have over 6,000 items, I back up my database every night, to an external hard drive as well as the regular hard drive. When I am backing up the database, what exactly am I backing up? Am I backing up the Items? / Transactions? / Report Info?/ Everything? So that if I loose the database some how, my main hard drive crashes or what have you, will I be able to copy the info from my external, onto another machine, and pick up where I left off?

Yes, it backs up everything. If you lose your harddrive, install RMS on a new PC or harddrive. In RMS Administrator, create a new database and during the process it asks where you want to restore from. When you originally installed, you pointed to the dbfiles folder under Store Operations and chose one of 2 bck files - sample db or blank db. This time you'd point to your backup file and a new db would be created with all the data from your backup file.

If you didn't do the initial install and so don't know what I'm talking about, have your RMS reseller do the restore and setup for you.
