Parent Item w/multiple children

Is this posible?

For example, we order a set of three gizmos in small/medium/large. Nobody needs three gizmos, so we sell them individually. The vendor requires that we order the set. There isn't even an order number for the individual gizmos.

I order GIZMO and want to sell GIZMO/S, GIZMO/M and GIZMO/L.

Does Parent/Child work for this? Every example I can find is for a case of identical items.

Test this, but it should work... Create a KIT that contains a Small, Medium and Large Order the KIT item on your PO. Receive the PO BREAK the kit to split it into it's component parts...

If you have a lot of these items it's probably going to be unmanageable, but if there aren't too many it should work OK...

I didn't answer this before, but yes a single parent item can have multiple children, but I don't think it works in your case. For example, a Case might be a parent for both a Six Pack and a Single item...

In my experience, having multiple children for a single parent does not work well.

In the case of case, 6-pack, single, I set up the 6-pack as a child of the case and singles as a child of the 6-pack. This cascading works well.
