Paswords

This is the first new client that I have that is using POS. The problem is that she can't remember her user name and password (I did not do the install). Is there an overall administrative password? Can I delete the password file (what is it)?

Jeff, Convoluted offered the recovery option for RMS but if your customer has Microsoft POS this will not work. POS uses Microsoft integrated security and must be approached differently. I cannot remember all of the steps needed off the top of my head, but I know there is an article on partner source outlining how to do this.

hi jeffs it happened with me ,the solution is to open administrator , connect to the data base if you have the database password (other wise you need to uninstall the the whole software) then run an sql statment to change the user password from the users table. hope this helps
